The HX-DC1 features a 12x Double Range Zoom. You can easily switch between the maximum zooming areas of 6x/12x with the press of the Zoom Range button to enable truly dynamic zooming without a degradation in image quality.
Depending on the situation, you can quickly switch between high-quality still images with 14-megapixel resolution or Full HD video. You can also capture 2-megapixel still images while recording a video by simply pressing the Still button.
The High-Speed Reverse Consecutive Shooting function continues to capture images while the Still button is pressed, and then, by releasing the button when the desired scene ends, the data that was input just prior to the button release is recorded onto the Built-in Memory as consecutive images. This lets you preserve important memories without missing out on those split-second shutter opportunities.
The HX-DC1 feature a 7.5 cm (3.0") wide-screen LCD monitor that allows the brightness to be adjusted in seven levels. It also rotates through approximately 285° so you can easily position it at your preferred angle.
